Another Successful Back to School Event

After the success of the Back to School Uniform Event in the Guildroom’s, we held a second event at the Social Club, and one alongside the food bank. Our final event has been at Curborough Community Centre. Thanks to all the volunteers who collected uniforms. To those who checked and washed them. To those who stored them, set them out and helped with finding the right sizes. Thanks also to everyone who came to collect a uniform and saved the world’s resources by reducing waste and making good use of good clothing. Brilliant!

Back to School Uniform bank

Lichfield City Council’s Back to School uniform bank. Thank you to everyone who donated uniform, and Tesco for letting us have our donation station in your store. And thank you to all of the city councillors, our sheriff, the civic officers and our members for helping run the days. We’ve helped so many families this year with the expensive cost of uniform, and saved lots of uniform from landfill by finding it a new home.

An Act of Rememberance

The Deputy Mayor Cllr Claire Pinder-Smith, Chair of the District Council Cllr Ann Hughes and Cllr Sharon Taylor visited the Commonwealth War Cemetery in Cannock Chase for a special wreath-laying peace ceremony. This poignant event, held in unity with our visitors from Bremen, Germany, served as a powerful reminder of our shared history and the enduring bonds of peace between nations. A big thanks to Staffordshire County Council
and The Staffordshire Council of Voluntary Youth Services.

Rosemary Lodge

Our Deputy Mayor, Cllr Claire Pinder-Smith had a fabulous afternoon at Rosemary Lodge Residential Home earlier this week. Wonderful to chat to some of the residents, families, staff and volunteers. Even the brief rain didn’t ruin our afternoon!
