Burntwood Labour Party

Some of the Burntwood Town and District Councillors and candidates at Sakney's Corner in April 2023.

Are you tired of Burntwood being short-changed by the Conservative Government and councils? It’s time for a change. Vote for Labour Councillors and candidates who are passionate about Burntwood’s future and will fight for its fair share of funding. They will be strong and effective voices for our town, championing the views of residents and working hard to make a real difference. Don’t wait any longer for a brighter future for Burntwood. Vote Labour now, and let’s make it happen together.

The Labour-run Burntwood Town Council is making a real difference in our community. With the monthly Burntwood Producers’ Market now in its third year and the upcoming Burntwood Wakes Festival set to be bigger and better than ever, we’re committed to bringing our town together and creating opportunities for local businesses and residents.
We’re also taking practical action to improve Burntwood with the BuRRT repair team, and fighting to keep the Methodist Church in Princess Street for use by local community groups. But we need your support to make even more progress. Join us in our efforts to reopen The Oak at Sankey’s Corner, an eyesore in our community, with a grant of £250,000 already secured. Together, we can build a better Burntwood.

Vote Labour on 4th May.

“We have worked together as a team to bring forward an exciting and progressive Plan for Burntwood and the District. We have learnt from the many Conservative failures over recent years and will now put forward an alternative Labour vision which will resonate, I’m sure, with voters.”
— Cllr Dave Robertson

Our Plan

Only Labour has a cohesive plan to create a fairer, greener future for Burntwood.

Fairer and More Prosperous Burntwood

A Conservative-run District Council has wasted £millions on Friarsgate and endless consultations. Labour will invest fairly across the district, including Burntwood and the surrounding areas.

A Greener Burntwood

EV recharging points, improved cycling infrastructure, better recycling processes and working with schools will all create a greener district.

A Safer Burntwood

Activities for young people, stronger policing of anti-social behaviour, increased CCTV and concentration on car crime will make Burntwood feel safer.

A Healthier Burntwood

Greener transport is healthier transport, and improved delivery of leisure facilities with a better community relationship will create a healthier Burntwood.

A Better Burntwood

Protection for renters, more sympathetic development with appropriate infrastructure and increased arts and culture activities will make Burntwood feel like a better place to live.
